What's up, Witches! It's Day 12 of our 12 Days of Yule series, which means it's New Year's Eve! 🎉 From cleaning and tidying the home (so you don't take 2025's mess into 2026), to making "safe" sparklers, we go over different ways you can celebrate today.
First Footing ritual:
According to A Guide to Celebrating the 12 Days of Yule, by Jenn Campus, the ideal first foot would be from a dark-haired male, which would indicate prosperity and security. A light-haired male might suggest a foe or stranger. An elderly first-footer may signify guidance and protection from our Ancestors in the coming year. A child first-footer may signify a playful new year, full of exuberance, or new insights. A female first-footer may signify intuition, nurturing, and feminine energies in the coming new year. If you have furry friends who live with you, and they happen to cross the threshold after midnight, it could signify unconditional love, loyalty and comfort in the coming year.
